Utilities (NGED):

Recent Projects

HS2 Utilities Diversions:

The design services provided were to design the diversions of the existing OHL LV, 11kV and 33kV services away from the new railway portal via new underground routes. The design services required cable pulling calculations over complex routes, thermal calculations for various cable route designs, pole earth designs, pole and stay designs.

Network Rail Power Upgrade

Designs for the upgrade of 33kV AC and 750V DC switchgear and associated power cables, these services included the design of the substation layout for the phased change over of the switchgear, renewal or upgrade of the SCADA services, AC and DC Protection studies, cable route design, lighting design and LV design.

London Underground Power Upgrades

Design of substation layouts for the replacement of existing 22kV, 11kV, 750V DC and LV equipemt. The designs required the surveying of the exising substations and providing phased drawings for the changeover of equipment. The designs also included the renewal of the existing SCADA equipment, HV and LV cables, earthing designs and circuit protection settings. Designs were also provided for the 11kV and fibre optic cable routes, thermal calculations were provided for the complex cable arrangements through the deep tunnels
